We are a comprehensive pre-k to sixth grade school, and our students are provided with appropriately rigorous grade level instruction in English Language Arts (ELA), mathematics, science and social studies using the adopted Clay County curricula. Our resource team provides instruction in art, music, technology, media, and physical education. In addition, we offer a variety of clubs and activities including chorus, track, and safety patrol to allow students opportunities to have leadership roles in their school community outside of academics.

The Tynes Elementary area is booming with growth, but the feel on campus is warm and welcoming. We are committed to Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and work to help students grow into lifelong learners and responsible citizens. You will see and hear the phrase Tiger P.R.I.D.E. all over our campus. Tynes Tigers know this acronym stands for Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Effort. Students and staff members are recognized for demonstrating these traits.

Another unique characteristic of Tynes Elementary is our high percentage of students who are connected to active duty military. We have a full time Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) through the Department of Defense who works to support our students and their families in all stages of deployment.

We are excited to continue to collaborate with our students, parents, caregivers, business and faith partners, and the community to educate our children. We look forward to welcoming even more visitors and volunteers into our building and engaging with families to support your children’s education.
